CueForge Score did not begin inside a software company or a conventional development team. It began with composer A.P. DeVaney trying to find a more practical way to turn his own performances, tracks, and stems into readable notation.
DeVaney approached the problem as a musician seeking to streamline his own workflow—not as a career software developer searching for a product idea. Drawing on his time at Berklee College of Music, his music theory studies at Palm Beach Atlantic University, and years spent composing, arranging, and working with recorded music, he shaped the project around the real decisions musicians make when preparing a score.
Through long hours of conceiving, testing, rebuilding, and reviewing results against his own compositions, the experiment grew into a broader tool. The goal remained practical: create a strong, editable starting point that a musician can inspect, correct, and continue shaping.
